My name is Eva Roemaat and I’m 27 years old. I live in Holland.
In 2007, my horse-life was turned around after visiting Cavalia with my mother.
I never looked at horses or the horse world the same, having cried during most of the show: I was in complete awe.
…So the change began.
I had no idea about the challenges and lessons I would face, when my haflinger Shilas came into my life. Everything I was, he did not agree with, and so my journey began. This horse has been my friend, my mentor and my most confronting mirror. Humans can teach you a lot, but nothing compared to horses.

2007 hat sich ihr Leben rund um die Pferde maßgeblich verändert, nachdem sie mit ihrer Mutter bei Cavalia war.
Ab diesem Moment, in dem sie quasi die gesamte Show ehrführchtig und emotional verfolgt hatte, hatte sie einen anderen Blickwinkel auf die Pferdewelt.
… Der Wandel begann.
Sie hatte keine Ahnung, welche Herausforderung auf sie zukommen würden, als Shilas, ihr Haflinger, in ihr Leben trat. Er war mit nichts an ihr einverstanden und sie hatten eine lange Reise vor sich.
Dieses Pferd war ihr Freund, ihr Mentor und aber auch ihr konfrontierendes Spiegelbild.
Menschen können uns viel beibringen, aber nichts Vergleichbares wie Pferde es können.
